What to Wear to Have Your Picture Taken
What to Wear to Have Your Picture Taken
When I was photographed for the Wall Street Journal once, I thought it would be cool to pretend it was just another day. So, I wore the makeup I’d wear to the corner grocery. I was so excited for that story to come out and when it did, I could barely see myself, because I looked like a ghost.
Now, I know that a photo requires particular makeup, even if the aim is to look like someone who belongs in the Wall Street Journal. The idea is to create a contrast between your features and the surrounding skin with makeup. Eyeliner, eyeshadow and mascara are essential. Brow pencil in my case. Lipstick. Foundation. And definitely powder because the camera loves a shiny forehead.
